On April 3 Bishop’s Falls was announced runner-up in the 2010 Kraft Hockeyville contest. The Town of Bishop’s Falls has so much to be proud of during this whole experience. The Top 5 Celebration Events brought our small town together to show Canada and the rest of the world that even through we are small we are big in community spirit.
WE ARE HOCKEYVILLE!!!
Thank you to all the volunteers of Bishop’s Falls. Above is a photo of all the nominees and award winners from the 2010 Annual Civic Awards Banquet.
Kyle Morgan and his mother Tracy provided some entertainment for the evening, as Kyle performed his renditions of old Elvis songs.
Eh Oh Bishop’s Falls Go
Bishop’s Falls has been chosen as one of the communities across Canada in the
“LET THEM BE KIDS” campaign.
The Let Them Be Kids Initiative is a first of its kind, nation-wide program that helps communities build playgrounds in areas of need, while also building community capacity amongst citizens and laying a strong foundation for a brighter tomorrow.
Check out the Bishop’s Falls blog to see what will be happening this summer.
