ESTABLISHMENT OF CREMATORIUM

The Town Council of Bishop’s Falls has scheduled a Public Forum to be held at 7:00pm, Monday September 19th, 2016, at the Bishop’s Falls Lions Club, 80 Main St., Bishop’s Falls, NL.


The Public Forum is open to the general public. This forum gives the opportunity for the public to learn about the crematorium process or to express their concerns about the application to install a crematorium at 527 Main St. in Bishop’s Falls.


This forum is being moderated by the Town of Bishop’s Falls.

PLAN & DEVELOPMENT

REGULATIONS 2015-2025



The Town Council of Bishop’s Falls has

adopted the Bishop’s Falls Municipal Plan

and Development Regulations 2015.


A Public Hearing to consider objections

and representations on the Municipal Plan

and Development Regulations will be held

at 7:00 pm on the 27th day of September,

2016 at the Bishop’s Falls Fire Hall.


The Bishop’s Falls Municipal Plan &

Development Regulations 2015 comprise

a comprehensive review and replace

the Municipal Plan and Development

Regulations currently in effect.


Anyone wishing to make any objection

or representation at the Public Hearing

shall, at least 2 days before the date set

for the Public Hearing, deposit with the

Town Clerk of Bishop’s Falls, two copies of

a signed written statement outlining the

objection or representation.


If no written objection or

representation with respect to the

Municipal Plan and Development

Regulations are received by 4:00 on

September 23rd, 2016, the Public

Hearing may be cancelled.


The Town of Bishop’s Falls Municipal Plan

and Development Regulations, 2015 may

be inspected during normal business

hours at the Town Office, Bishop’s Falls.

Today, September 10, 2015, Mayor Hobbs announced the beginning of a very exciting project for the Town of Bishop’s Falls.

IMPORTANT NOTICE


Please be advised that Effective Immediately, Central Newfoundland Waste Management will no longer collect Black or Green garbage bags.  All garbage and recyclables MUST BE PLACED IN THE APPROPRIATE CLEAR OR BLUE BAGS





COMPOST BINS


Composting is a cheap and easy way to turn almost half of your garbage into plant food!  Compost Bins are now available for purchase at the Town Office for a Total Cost of $25.00














 

IMPORTANT NEWS

The 512 Exploits Squadron is currently recruiting new members. New members must be at least 12 years old and have a government issued birth certificate and MCP card.

 

512 Exploits is a very active unit offering many activities such as citizenship, flying, survival training, biathlon, marksmanship, effective speaking, first aid, sports, band and much more.

 

There is no cost to join and the uniforms are free. We offer supervised field trips and overnight outings at no cost.

 

We parade every Monday evening from 6:30-9:15 pm at Leo Burke Academy
