BISHOP’S FALLS HERITAGE SOCIETY


Are you interested in your Town’s history?  Curious about the people who built our Town?  Has your family worked with the Pulp Mill, Railway or Woods Work?  Would you like to have a role in preserving and promoting our Town’s past?


If so, please join us on May 26, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Bishop’s Falls Lions Club to discuss The Heritage Society and it’s future direction. 





2015 BISHOP’S FALLS ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN UP


Residential Spring Clean up within the Town of Bishop’s Falls will take place during the following period:


MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2015 -  SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 2015

AFTER HOURS  EMERGENCY SERVICE NUMBER


The Town of Bishop’s Falls would like to advise all residents that effective Friday, May 1, 2015, an after hours EMERGENCY call service will be implemented.  To access this service, please call (709) 258-6037 after 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, Weekends and Statutory Holidays.

FALLSVIEW MUNICIPAL PARK


The Fallsview Park will open on Friday, June 12, 2015. Reservations will be accepted as of Monday, May 11, 2015 up to and including Thursday, June 11, 2015.  To make reservation contact 709-258-6581 or email info@bishopsfalls.ca.  Please note the following additional details regarding reservations:


Reservations can be made as of the second Monday of May up to and including the day before the Park’s scheduled opening.  The park shall not accept reservations during its operational period.


Reservations must be made for blocks of seven consecutive days.


The full rental fee must be paid upon making the reservation.  Acceptable forms of payment include cash, debit, MasterCard and Visa.  Personal cheques shall not be accepted. 


A Camper may cancel a reservation at any point during the operational period; however, the following cancellation fees shall apply:


Where a cancellation is made more than five (5) days in advance of the camper’s scheduled arrival, a 10% cancellation fee shall apply.


Where a cancellation is made five (5) days  or less in advance of the camper’s scheduled arrival, a 50% cancellation fee shall apply.


A camper may only reserve two (2) sites at any given time.




IMPORTANT NOTICE


Please be advised that Effective Immediately, Central Newfoundland Waste Management will no longer collect Black or Green garbage bags.  All garbage and recyclables MUST BE PLACED IN THE APPROPRIATE CLEAR OR BLUE BAGS





COMPOST BINS


Composting is a cheap and easy way to turn almost half of your garbage into plant food!  Compost Bins are now available for purchase at the Town Office for a Total Cost of $25.00





CRAFT FAIR



The next Giant Craft Fair/Flea Market is scheduled for:
