In accordance with s.201.1 of the Municipalities Act, 1999, please take notice that the Town of Bishop’s Falls is offering for sale, by way of public tender, the following parcels of land located in Bishop’s Falls:


1.Rear of 4-8 Rose St. and 4-6 Kings St.


Interested parties may contact Assistant Town Manager for copies of the land description including specific details of land size, and exact location. Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids.


The Sealed Bid must  be clearly marked (King St. Land Sale) identifying the parcel being tendered on and must be received before December 19th,  2015 @4:00pm by mail or personal delivery to the following address: 445 Main St., P.O. Box 310, Bishop’s Falls, NL, A0H 1C0.

Discretionary Use Notice


In accordance with Sections 22 and 86 of the Town of Bishop’s Falls Development Regulations


Please take notice that the Town of Bishop’s Falls intends to issue a permit to allow the development of an apartment building at 354 Main St., Bishop’s Falls.  This area is zoned as Commercial General and a Apartment Building development falls within the discretionary use class.  Persons objecting to the Town’s intentions must submit a written statement to the Town Clerk by December 8th, 2016.

IMPORTANT NOTICE


Please be advised that Effective Immediately, Central Newfoundland Waste Management will no longer collect Black or Green garbage bags.  All garbage and recyclables MUST BE PLACED IN THE APPROPRIATE CLEAR OR BLUE BAGS





COMPOST BINS


Composting is a cheap and easy way to turn almost half of your garbage into plant food!  Compost Bins are now available for purchase at the Town Office for a Total Cost of $25.00














 

IMPORTANT NEWS



512 Air Cadet Squadron was recently awarded the St. John’s Lions Club Shield for finishing second place in the provincial Air Cadet Leaque NL ranking for 2015-2016. This is the second year in a row they have been recognized with this award.


The 512 Exploits Squadron is currently recruiting new members. New members must be at least 12 years old and have a government issued birth certificate and MCP card.
