The Town of Bishop’s Falls is looking for your assistance at the

21st Annual Central Summer Games being hosted in our Town August 17th, 18th and 19th, 2015.

Do you or your friends have time to assist with the follow:

*  Prepare Breakfast, Lunch and Supper

*  Serve Breakfast and Lunch

* Launder visiting Team uniforms on Monday, Aug. 17th and                       Tuesday, Aug. 18th.

*  Keep score for Basketball, Volleyball and Ball Hockey

Referees are also needed for Basketball, Volleyball, Ball Hockey, Softball and Soccer (referees will be paid)

CNWM - Collection Route Changes for August 3rd, 2015

Central Newfoundland Waste Management (CNWM) would like to notify the public of changes in curb side collection for Monday, August 3rd.  The main office will also be closed:

Collection for Bishop’s Falls on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 will be collected on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015.

Please take notice that the Town of Bishop’s Falls is considering an application to operate a home based business (Doggie Dues - animal grooming) at 40B Newtown Road.  this area is zoned as residential medium density and the business falls within the discretionary use class.  Persons objecting to the establishment of the business at this location must submit a written statement to the Town by July 31, 2015.

The Town of Bishop’s Falls will be holding Summer Day Camp. Cost is $40.00 per child and registration will take place at the Pat O’Reilly Memorial Stadium on July 2 and 3, 2015 from 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm.  For more details regarding Day Camp please click here

Please be advised that effective June 8, 2015, the Bishop’s Falls Town Office will be operating on summer hours.

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Lunch 12:30 - 1:30 pm daily


The Town of Bishop’s Falls would like to advise all residents that effective Friday, May 1, 2015, an after hours URGENT call service will be implemented.  To access this service, please call (709) 258-6037 after 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, Weekends and Statutory Holidays.


The Fallsview Park will open on Friday, June 12, 2015. Reservations will be accepted as of Monday, May 11, 2015 up to and including Thursday, June 11, 2015.  To make reservation contact 709-258-6581 or email  Please note the following additional details regarding reservations:

Reservations can be made as of the second Monday of May up to and including the day before the Park’s scheduled opening.  The park shall not accept reservations during its operational period.

Reservations must be made for blocks of seven consecutive days.

The full rental fee must be paid upon making the reservation.  Acceptable forms of payment include cash, debit, MasterCard and Visa.  Personal cheques shall not be accepted. 

A Camper may cancel a reservation at any point during the operational period; however, the following cancellation fees shall apply:

Where a cancellation is made more than five (5) days in advance of the camper’s scheduled arrival, a 10% cancellation fee shall apply.

Where a cancellation is made five (5) days  or less in advance of the camper’s scheduled arrival, a 50% cancellation fee shall apply.

A camper may only reserve two (2) sites at any given time.


Please be advised that Effective Immediately, Central Newfoundland Waste Management will no longer collect Black or Green garbage bags.  All garbage and recyclables MUST BE PLACED IN THE APPROPRIATE CLEAR OR BLUE BAGS


Composting is a cheap and easy way to turn almost half of your garbage into plant food!  Compost Bins are now available for purchase at the Town Office for a Total Cost of $25.00
